What is an MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard created by Anthropic in 2024 that lets your AI talk to external services — like your mailbox — in a secure and structured way.
How it works: your AI sends a request (e.g. "send an email to Marc"), MailMCP executes it on your real mailbox via IMAP/SMTP, and returns the result. No copy-paste, no plugin, no vendor lock-in.
