Beyond Gmail & Outlook

Use Claude with an email other than Gmail or Outlook 365

Claude.ai and ChatGPT only connect to Gmail and Outlook. If your email is at OVH, LWS, Infomaniak, Orange, Free.fr, Ionos or any other IMAP host — MailMCP is the solution. Connect any mailbox to any AI via MCP.

The excluded majority: your email is not Gmail or Outlook

When Claude.ai launched email connectors, it only supported Gmail and Outlook 365 — the two biggest platforms globally. But millions of professionals in France and Europe use OVH, LWS, Infomaniak, Ionos, or their ISP email (Orange, Free.fr, SFR). These users are completely excluded from AI email features. No plugin, no connector, no workaround — until MailMCP.

Without MailMCP

  • Claude and ChatGPT only connect to Gmail and Outlook
  • OVH, LWS, Infomaniak, Ionos emails are invisible to AI
  • ISP emails (Orange, Free, SFR) have zero AI support
  • You copy-paste emails into AI manually — slow and painful

With MailMCP

  • ANY IMAP email works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor
  • Full features: send (not just drafts), reply, search, schedule
  • Auto-detects settings for 20+ providers
  • Open MCP standard — no vendor lock-in

How MCP bridges your email to AI

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard created by Anthropic that lets AI tools interact with external services. MailMCP acts as an MCP server: it connects to your IMAP/SMTP mailbox and exposes 15 email tools that any MCP-compatible AI can use.

Connect any email to Claude in 4 steps

From any IMAP mailbox to AI-powered email in under 3 minutes.

1

Create your MailMCP account

Go to MailMCP.io and sign up. It takes 30 seconds — just email and password. No credit card, no commitment. The free plan lets you test with one mailbox and 20 MCP calls per day.

2

Add your IMAP/SMTP mailbox

Enter your email address and password. MailMCP auto-detects IMAP/SMTP settings for OVH, LWS, Infomaniak, Ionos, Orange, Free.fr and 20+ other providers. The connection is tested instantly.

3

Frequently asked questions

Why does Claude only support Gmail and Outlook for email?
Claude.ai integrates with Gmail and Outlook 365 through their proprietary APIs (Google API and Microsoft Graph). These are the two largest email platforms globally, so Anthropic prioritized them. However, millions of users with IMAP-based email providers (OVH, LWS, Infomaniak, Orange, etc.) are excluded. MailMCP solves this by bridging any IMAP mailbox to Claude via the MCP protocol.
Can I use ChatGPT with my OVH/LWS/Infomaniak email?
ChatGPT has the same limitation as Claude — it only supports Gmail and Outlook natively. With MailMCP, you can connect any IMAP email provider to ChatGPT (and any other MCP-compatible AI) via the MCP protocol. Your OVH, LWS, or Infomaniak email gets the same full access as Gmail.
Does MailMCP give the same features as the native Gmail connector?
MailMCP gives more features than native connectors. Native Gmail in Claude can only read emails and create drafts. MailMCP provides 15 tools: read, send (real sending, not drafts), reply, search, schedule, flag, move, delete, create folders, and more. All features work identically regardless of your email provider.
Which email providers are compatible with MailMCP?
Any provider that supports standard IMAP/SMTP is compatible. This includes OVH, LWS, Infomaniak, Ionos, Hostinger, O2switch, PlanetHoster, GoDaddy, Orange, Free.fr, SFR, Zoho, Yahoo, Protonmail (via Bridge), and hundreds more. If you can configure your email in Thunderbird, you can connect it to MailMCP.
Is my email data secure when using MailMCP with Claude?
MailMCP never stores your email content. Data transits directly between your IMAP server and the AI tool. Connections are secured with OAuth2 + PKCE, credentials are encrypted with AES-256, and you can revoke AI access instantly from your dashboard. Servers are hosted in France, GDPR compliant.

Your email deserves AI — no matter who hosts it

Free account, 3-minute setup. Connect any IMAP email to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP-compatible AI. Stop waiting for native integrations.
